Fertility Acupuncture
Supporting You Through Your TTC Journey
Knowledge is power. Work with a TCM practitioner to balance hormones & regulate your cycle. We emphasize patient education & strive to optimize your fertility health & chances of conceiving each month with acupuncture & individually tailored treatments.
How Acupuncture Can Help
TCM practitioners are trained to assess & treat imbalances that are contributing to their patient’s health concerns. When chosing the acupuncturist you want to work with for your fertility journey, it is imperative that you ensure that they have advanced training in fertility focused and pregnancy care. Haven’s clinical director, Ashley, completed advanced training with leaders in the field of TCM gynecology and has gained over 14 years of clinical experience in the realm of fertility care. At Haven, you can feel confident that our practitioners have extensive experience supporting couples through Assisted Reproductive Technologies such as IVF & IUI cycles.
We also understand the unique struggles & stressors that are a part of a fertility journey - from the early morning appointments to the side effects of the medications, as well as the toll that conversations about it can take. We aim to be a source of support, information, & TLC for you during your fertility journey. We have a healthy respect for modern advancements in reproductive technologies and advocate for an integrative approach to bring you the best chances of starting or growing your family.
Fertility acupuncture treatments may be able to improve chances of conceiving & maintaining pregnancy in several ways:
increasing pelvic blood flow, which can improve ovarian function and uterine health
encouraging the growth of a thick endometrium, optimal for implantation
impacting the nervous system and HPA axis, reducing the toxic effects of stress
decreasing pelvic inflammation and congestion
regulating hormones through its impact on the HPO axis and release of neurotransmitters
FAQs
-
Yes. Acupuncture may be able to improve reproductive health and sperm parameters by increasing pelvic blood flow, regulating the nervous system (stress response) and reducing inflammation.

Any time is a good time to start acupuncture. We generally want to see you weekly for 4-6 weeks to start so that we can treat you during all four phases of your cycle (bleeding, follicular, ovulation, luteal/TWW). Your practitioner will track what your cycle day is and design the treatment to support what your body should be doing at that time. We will then identify the best days for you to come in for ongoing treatment while you TTC.

In an ideal world we would start seeing you 2-3 months prior to the retrieval. If your retrieval is approaching sooner than that, or if you are about to transfer, any acupuncture is better than no acupuncture so we encourage you to jump in wherever you are in your journey!

Yes this is a part of our training and we routinely support patients through IVF. We understand what protocols are relevant and how to individually design treatments to support the transfer and implantation process.
