Samonica Grant R.TCMP, R.Ac

Samonica Grant is a passionate advocate for holistic health and wellness, driven by a lifelong fascination with the healing power of nature.

Growing up in an environment that appreciated and strongly encouraged the use of herbs and natural remedies, Samonica’s curiosity led her to experiment with crafting her own creations, from natural handmade soaps, to face masks and hair treatments.

As her curiosity deepened, she began to have an interest in how the human body works as well as the remarkable properties of plants and how these could be used medicinally. This eventually led her to pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in life science with a minor in Plant biology from the University of the West Indies Mona, solidifying her foundation in biological sciences.

While Samonica initially contemplated a path in research and western medicine, she started to learn more about Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) eventually realizing its profound alignment with her vision. This caused her to enroll in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner program at Humber College where she successfully completed her diploma in 2022.

Samonica’s holistic perspective on health is rooted in her belief that prevention is paramount. She holds a strong conviction in the body’s ability to heal itself and emphasizes the importance of nurturing this natural capacity. Samonica’s mission is to aide her patients in harnessing this self-healing capacity while guiding them towards a state of optimal wellbeing.

Her treatments are a harmonious blend of traditional medicine and contemporary knowledge. Samonica’s approach encompasses a range of modalities, including acupuncture, tui na massage, cupping, gua sha, and electroacupuncture. With a keen understanding of the interconnectedness between physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being, Samonica is committed to addressing the complete spectrum of her patient’s overall health.
